Biscuit Day calls for a easy and customisable biscuit recipe that you can whip up quickly and have them plain or different shapes that you can decorate with toppings of your choice. Be as creative or as easy as you like!
Heat oven to 190C
In a bowl cream the all butter and sugar together in a bowl until combined.
Slowly beat the egg and vanilla bit by bit until the mixture is fully combined.
Now is the time to stir in the flour and until you have formed a dough.
Flour your surface and roll out the dough until you get the thickness to around 1cm thick.
Now you can be creative and use whatever biscuit cutters you like, we went for hearts. Using the biscuit cutters, cut biscuits out of the dough and carefully place onto the baking tray lined with grease-proof paper.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until pale golden-brown. Set aside to harden for 2 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
Decorate how you please or keep them plain!
